Inhibitory Kinetic-spectroflurometric Determination of Trace Resorcinol

It was observed that resorcinol could sensitively inhibit the discoloration reaction of hydrogen peroxide oxidizing eosme Y in H2SO4 solution.A new inhibitory kinetic spectroflurometric method for determination of trace resorcinol was proposed.The linear range for resorcinol was 400.0～ 4.0 μ g/L with detection limit was 3.2 μ g/L.It was applied satisfactorily to determination of trace resorcinol in water samples.
