Added Mass of Lenses and Parallel Plates

Study of added mass of lens-shaped bodies, two parallel square plates, and two parallel, infinitely long rectangular plates of various thicknesses; added masses were determined from mass-frequency relationship obtained by immersing objects in water and accelerating them in oscillatory motion; experimental results are in good agreement with analytical studies of corresponding potential flows.
