Objective To evaluate the expression of CK7, CK18, CK5/6 and P63 in various types of lung cancer. Methods The expression of CK7, CK18, CK5/6 and P63 proteins in 104 specimens of lung cancer were detected by immunohistochemistry. And the expression of CK7, CK18, CK5/6 and P63 in different types of lung cancer tissues were also analyzed. Results The positive expression of CK7 in adenocarcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma and large cell carcinoma were 91.07%, 85.71% and 50.00% respectively. And there was no positive expression in squamous cell carcinoma and small cell carcinoma. The positive expression of CK18 in adenocarcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, small cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma were 96.43%, 85.71%, 100 % and 100% respectively. And there was no positive expression in squamous cell carcinoma. The positive expression of CK5/6 in squamous cell carcinoma was 100%. And there was no positive expression in adenocarcinoma, adenosquamous carcinoma, small cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. The positive expression of P63 in squamous cell carcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma were 100% and 14.29%. There was no positive expression in adenocarcinoma, small cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. ConclusionCK7and CK18 can be used in diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma. CK5/6 and P63 can be used in diagnosis of lung squamous cell carcinoma. Meanwhile, CK18 can be used in the diagnosis of lung small cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma.
