Objective To evaluate the biocompatibility of decellularized vascular scaffold prepared with Triton X-100 and trypsin. Methods In vitro and in vivo tests were performed to evaluate the biocompatibility of the decellularized vascular scaffold. The in vitro tests included direct-contact method and MTT assay, and the in vivo test was subcutaneous implant test. Results L929 cells grew well on the glass slide covered with decellularized vascular scaffold and in the solution of decellularized vascular matrix. The patches implanted subcutaneously in SD mice only caused slight inflammatory reaction after 2 weeks. Conclusion Decellularized vascular matrices prepared with Triton X-100 and trypsin had a good biocompatibility.
