To degrade endocrine disruptor bisphenol A in drinking water, the process of UV,H2O2 and combination of the two was studied respectively. The results showed that BPA could not be effectively removed by H2O2 oxidation only and the removal efficiency of BPA was very limited by UV radiation alone. However, the combination process of UV-H2O2 could achieve good results for BPA degradation. The removal efficiency of BPA could be up to 98.03% under the conditions that the BPA concentration in raw water, the intensity of UV radiation, the dosage of H2O2 and the HRT were 1 mg/L,133.9 μW/cm2,10 mg/L and 40 minutes respectively. The degradation kinetics equation can be expressed as ρ=ρ0e-(0.00021.00020.8048)t,which can simulate the degradation effects of BPA through the combination process of UV-H2O2.
