Application of θ Projection Concept in Creep Life Prediction for SM41C Steel

The creep features for SM41C steel were examined. A modified θ Projection Concept was applied successfully to the steel to predict long term constant load creep curves for SM41C steel. Whereas the θ projection concept presented by Evans R W can not be applied otherwise than predicting long term constant stress curves. The result shows that the concept is successful in predicting the constant load creep curves for SM41C steel up to rupture.
