Evaluation of Hydrocarbon Source Rocks of Bayantala in Hailaer Basin

Organic geochemistry data of the drilled strata in 27 wells in Bayantala was analyzed.Theindexes of abundance,type and maturity of the organic matter of these wells in Bayantala were researchedand evaluated.The result shows that the high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks of Bayantala mainlylocated in the Tongbomiao Formation,lower part of Nantun Formation and Da 1 Member.And the mainpart of the dark mudstone in these strata is medium or good source rocks with organic matter of Type and.The source rock is also in stage of maturity.Generally,the maturity threshold of organic matter inBayantala is about 1500m.
