Design of Plug-and-play Smart Transducer Interface Module

A universal standard of sensor interface was proposed by IEEE1451 to solve the problem of incompatibility between sensor and multi-networks.This paper used MSP430 to design a smart transducer interface module(STIM) based on the standard of IEEE1451.2,in order to make the traditional sensor with a universal interface and have the plug-and-play function.At the same time,a friendly and convenient user interface was built with the LabVIEW tool,the transducer electronic data sheet(TEDS) can be changed easily.It set a good example to research the IEEE1451.
