Abstract Polyhalogeno complexes of FeII, FeIII, NiII, CuI, CuII, ZnII, PdII, PdIV, AgI, SnII, SnIV, AuI, and AuIII are synthesized in one step by dissolving the corresponding metals in halogen-halide-acetonitrile systems.
