Interferometric Spectral Imaging and Optical Three-Dimensional Fourier Transformation

A three-dimensional (3-D) Fourier transform relationship associated with the 3-D spatial coherence of an optical wave field generated by a polychromatic incoherent light source is addressed. Applications to optical 3-D Fourier transformation is discussed and an experimental demonstration is presented.
