摘要
Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) materials exhibit tremendous potential in modern chemical and biological sensing applications. In the present chapter, we emphasize their applications for the selective and sensitive detection of amino acids, peptides and proteins. This chapter covers AIE molecular luminogen concepts, principles and sensing mechanisms towards different classes of amino acids, peptides and proteins. Special focus is given to the small organic molecular AIEgens’ design strategies and their sensing application performances. This chapter provides readers and researchers with a deep understanding of how small organic molecular AIEgens can be utilized in material fabrications and the development of next-generation technology.
