The study was conducted at the Central Research Station of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute at Joydebpur. One year old seedlings raised from seeds of a good sized and quality jack fruit were used as stock plants. The scion materials were collected from a selected plant. Five methods of budding namely, ring budding, patch budding, I-budding, flute budding and t-budding were tried. The buddings were done first in May 15 and again in June 15, 1980. Patch budding, I-budding and T-budding were complete failures. Highest percent success (80) was recorded in ring budding of May operation but the percent success decreased to 20 in June operation. There was 60 percent success in flute budding when performed in May and 40 percent in June operation
