Abstract More detailed morphologic imaging studies of dyslexia were done using volumetric methods. Voxel based morphometry (VBM) is a technique characterizing regional cerebral volume and tissue concentration differences in structured magnetic resonance imaging. Volumetric analysis can be done in two ways: with pre-chosen specific voxels or whole brain voxel analysis. The form of a whole brain voxel-based analysis investigates the whole brain rather than looking at specific brain structures, and has the advantage of not limiting the analysis to predefined neuroanatomic regions.
