Coming to Grips with 1.5

With the release of Android 1.5, developers now have more functionality at their fingertips. In the next two chapters, we will introduce you to some of the new features in Android 1.5 and provide you with instructions to set up your development environment for the new release. Specifically, we will show you some additions to the media APIs and introduce you to Android’s speech-recognition framework. We will also briefly demonstrate Android’s input-method framework.
