Defoaming methods of polystyrene foamed plastics by insoluble thermal mediums

Recycling and reusing polystyrene foamed plastic was used by different defoaming or reducing volume method. Defoaming methods of insoluble thermal mediums by 20% calcium chloride solution for water-based medium,mixtures of liquid paraffin and solid wax for oily medium were studyed,and defoamed materials volume was redused to 30 times compared with polystyrene foamed plastics in defoaming operation temperature 110 ℃～130 ℃. Density of defoamed polystyrene plastics was 0.9 g/cm3. The characteristics of defoamed polystyrene plastics was suitable for application in downstream products process.
