High frequency ultrasound of anal abscess

Objective:To detect the value of high frequency ultrasound diagnosing anal abscess.Methods:Using 7.5 MHz high frequency sonography to examine 7 cases with anal abscess.Results:One case with acute anal inflammation not forming abscess.Six cases with anal suppurative inflammation accompanied anal abscess.After one month treatment two cases with anal sinus or fistula.Conclusion:High frequency sonography can clearly diagnose and defferentiate anal abscess to varying stage.
