Influence of Different Tensile Methods on Ultimate Deformation of Plain Knitted Fabric

The ultimate deformations of three kinds of cotton plain knitted fabrics were tested by strip and grab method based on uniaxial tensile and biaxial tensile methods including one direction tensile while another direction fixation and two direction tensile. The measured results were compared among different tensile methods. The ultimate deformation of samples was calculated based on the Peter's model. Good agreement in theoretical predications with experimental results is achieved.
