Change of cerebral hemodynamics and clinical studies of patients with dizziness by TCD

Objective To study the change of cerebral hemodynamics of patients with dizziness by TCD and provide reliable basis for clinical diagnosis and therapy.Methods 262 patients with dizziness were tested bilateral middle cerebral artery(MCA)、(anterior cerebral artery)ACA、vertebral artery(VA) and basilar artery(BA) by TCD.Results Among 262 patients with dizziness, the blood flow velocities in 142 cases(54.20%)were increased and were reduced in 70 cases(26.72%) and were normal in 50 cases(19.08%). The abnormal blood flow velocities were mainly located in basilar artery system, with significant difference in gende.Conclusion The change of cerebral hemodynamics of patients with dizziness mainly demonstrated high speed of blood flow(in female) or low one(in male) in vertebra basilar artery system, and some accompanied with increase and reduction of the velocity of blood flow of anterior circulation arterial.
