A rectifying heterojunction consisting of polythiophene and polypyrrole films was prepared by the electrochemical method. It shows the forward-reverse current ratio of larger than 50 at ±0.5 V. The junction characteristics at the interface of metallic polypyrrole and p-type polythiophene are found to be Schottky-like in large sense from I - V , C - V and photovoltaic measurements.
