Review on the function of WRKY transcription factor family.

The expression of inducible gene in plant is mostly modulated by special transcription factors on the transcription level.Studies on the structure and function of transcription factors become the focus in the fields of plant molecular biology and molecular genetics.WRKY transcription factors play many roles in response to biotic and abiotic stresses.There are 74 members in Arabidopsis and more than 100 members in rice.Review on the research of biological functions,such as wounding,senescence,development and metabolization of WRKY transcription factor,and the research on the plant defense response and related plant signal pathways that WRKY transcription factor involved at home and aboard can provide a novel sight for the further study.
