National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health)

The National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health is a longitudinal study of a nationally representative sample of adolescents in the United States that began in 1994 (Wave I) and continues through 2018 (Wave V). The original purpose of the study was to examine adolescent health and health‐related behavior with an understanding of the contexts in the adolescent's life. Many researchers have utilized the public use data to understand changes over time, which have resulted in over a thousand peer‐reviewed journal articles.
