摘要
Different streams have different levels of dissolved oxygen in them (French, 2014). The levels of oxygen produced in a water source are directly related to the amount of algae in a water sample, often as a result of eutrophication. The level of algae growth and death is significant to the ecosystems and further testing is necessary for the Oklahoma City area water. More algae growth means less oxygen in the water source due to the rapid death rate and decomposition of algae. Different water samples were gathered and the amount of algae was tested, followed by the amount of oxygen. This research will help determine the needs of the water around the Oklahoma City area and the possible needs for the betterment of those ecosystems.
