The restoration of sensation in 28 fingers of 16 patients were evafuated after primary neuroraphies of the digital nerves. Threshoid and functional tests were used All of the patients gave positive responses to the vibration sensation tested by two tuning forks, 30 and 256 cycles per second After an average 11 months of foliow up period 37 7% of the patients were found to be at the S3 and S4 levels and 38.9% were at the S2 level. Age of the patient was found to be the most important prognostic factor and younger patients had good resto ration of sensation. There was significant correlation between the monofilament test and moving and statıc two point discrimination tests.
