Potential new standard of care for the first‐line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer

In this issue, interim analyses showed significantly better progression‐free survival outcomes with the combination regimen versus either chemotherapy alone or nivolumab alone for the first‐line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. Also, omitting axillary surgery for patients with low‐risk breast cancer and breast‐conserving therapy had no negative impact on the course of disease, and subcutaneous daratumumab significantly lowered the risk of progression to active multiple myeloma or death.
