摘要
Purpose This study investigated the dual mediating mechanisms through which nature connectedness influences adolescent Internet addiction, with particular focus on the sequential roles of Subjective well-being (SWB) and self-control. Design/methodology/approach This study drew on a survey of 1,226 high school students and employed Hayes’ (2013) Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) PROCESS macro (Model 6) to test the proposed theoretical framework. Findings Nature connectedness negatively predicted Internet addiction SWB and self-control each independently played a mediating role in the relationship between nature connectedness and Internet addiction and SWB and self-control played a chain mediating role in the relationship between nature connectedness and Internet addiction. Originality/value By elucidating the relationship between nature connectedness and Internet addiction along with its internal mechanism, this study offers empirical evidence for developing interventions targeting adolescent Internet addiction.
