Strategic Thinking on Construction of a Leading Cross-Strait Marine Economy Cooperation Zone in Pingtan

Pingtan has leading advantages for cross-strait cooperation in marine economy.Pingtan may construct a leading cooperation area in the following ways:building a cross-strait blue headquarter base;preparing a service center for marine science,education and culture;constructing a high-tech marine industry park;establishing aport logistics hub based on direct links across the Strait;and building Pingtan into a coastal tourism resort.In the last part of this paper,some countermeasures and suggestions for policy making are put forward.
