Objective To investigate the prognosis of adjuvant chemotherapy for stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ elderly colon cancer patients after radical surgery. Methods 78 cases of colon cancer patients, according to whether receive the chemotherapy, were divided into the observation group( 38 cases) and the control group( 40 cases). The control group received only radical surgery, the observation group received adjuvant chemotherapy after radical resection. Evaluation of quality of life,1-,3-year survival rates and recurrence rates of the 2 groups were observed. Results GLQI scores, physiological function and symptoms and signs scores of the control group were significantly lower after treatment, and were significantly lower than those of the observation group, the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05); 1-year survival rates of the 2 groups had no significant difference( P 0. 05),but 3-year survival rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the recurrence rate of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusion Adjuvant chemotherapy after laparoscopic radical resection can improve 3-year survival rate, quality of life of patients, and decrease recurrence and metastasis.
