Evaluation of Source Rocks in the Baiyinchagan Sag

The analysis of source rocks in Baiyinchagan Sag showed that there were mainly of four sets of source rocks in potential,the most of them were good and better source rocks with huge distribution volume.The source rock in the 1st member of the Duhongmu Formation is widely distributed with a high abundance of organic matter,the type of kerogen is good with low maturity,and it has less contribution to hydrocarbon generation.The 2nd member of Aershan Formation is less distributed with high abundance of organic matter and high maturity,and it has the greatest contribution to the hydrocarbon generation.
