Determination of Lovastatin in Tea Using Ultra Performance Liquid ChromatographyElectrospray Tandem Mass Spectrometry

An UPLC-ESI-MS / MS method with multiple reaction monitoring(MRM) mode was developed for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of lovastatin in tea. The sample preparation was based on ultrasonic-assisted extraction,Waters Acquity UPLC誖BEH C18(1.7 μm,2.1 mm×50 mm) column separation and UPLC-MS / MS determination. The method showed a good linearity(R20.999 0) in the 0.000 8~0.200 0 μg / m L and LOD of 0.000 2 μg / m L. For three spiked levels,the average recoveries were from 98.54% to 109.86%, and the relative standard deviations(RSD,n=6) were from 1.45% to 3.09%. The method was reliable, accurate, sensitive and appropriate for the determination of lovastatin in tea.
