The Lead Oxide-Lead Sulfate and Lead Oxide-Lead Selenate Systems

The lead oxide‐lead sulfate and lead oxide‐lead selenate systems have been investigated using the room temperature x‐ray powder method. The two systems are very similar and the preparation and x‐ray powder patterns are given of lead sulfate , lead monoxysulfate , lead tetroxysulfate , lead selenate , lead monoxyselenate , and lead tetroxyselenate . The lead oxyselenates are isomorphous with the corresponding lead oxysulfates and the pattern of lead monoxyselenate has been indexed on the basis of a monoclinic unit cell of dimensions, , , , .
