摘要
The light-emitting diode (LED) is undoubtedly one of the greatest revolutions ever known in the world of lighting since the invention of the light bulb. LED is becoming more popular recently thanks to its large color gamut and high flexibility of light control. Most LED lamps manufactured have a low power factor and because of the non-linearity of their driver, they inject harmonics into the power grid and affect its power quality. Recent research has been conducted to study the effect of LED lamps on power sources and provide solutions to limit their negative impact on the network. In this paper, we conduct a study in order to quantify the impact of LED lamps on power quality and carry out an experimental measurement of current and voltage harmonics with up to 40 LEDs. We develop a current model of LED lamp so as to use it for simulations to investigate the influence of widespread use of LED lamps on distribution power system.
