Track Equipment Selection for Nigeria Ore Dedicated Railway Line

Taking track equipment selection for Nigeria Ore Dedicated Railway Line as an example,this paper describes how to seek for track maintenance cycle according to structure coefficient,load coefficient and annual deformation rate of track structure and thus obtain life cycle cost of track equipment.The minimum cost is the optimum program for technical and economic selection of track equipment.It is proven that using 25m-60 kg/m steel rail,II concrete sleeper,I fasteners are the most economical program with less maintenance and maximum utilization.
