A METHOD FOR DIVIDING GROWING SEASON OF THE TEMPERRTE GRASSLAND BASED ON EXPERIENCED KNOWLEDGE AND NOAA/AVHRR NDVI

4 types of grassland in the Hulun Buir Steppe of Northeast China are selected for discussing the method for dividing growing season of the temperate grassland.The method is mainly based on the changing range of the NOAA/AVHRR NDVI between the adjacent two 10-day,as well as referring to the grass physiological characteristics.It is found that this method is efficient to demarcate the growing season of temperate grassland.
