The effluent from BCTMP of polar was treated with micro-electrolysis method,and the factors affecting the treating effect were discussed.The results showed that pH value was the most important factor to influence the reaction of micro-electrolysis,other factors,such as Fe/C ratio,reaction time and the ratio of Fe/wastewater also had some effect on treatingt efficiency.The optimum conditions of pH value3~4,Fe/C ratio 0.5:1,reaction time 15min and ratio of Fe/wastewater 0.1~0.125,the decolorizing rate is more than 90%,and the CODCr removal rate is above 70%,BOD5/COD of wastewater increased from 0.3 to 0.35.The experiments also showed that micro-electrolysis method can be used not only to eliminate the color of the wastewater and reduce the COD effectively,but also to improve the biodegradability of the wastewater.
