Membrane coupled anaerobic bioreactor process is successfully used in high-strength wastewater treatment.Membrane selection is a key factor that can maintain the system running smoothly.Three different material membranes-PAN,PES and PVDF were investigated in this integrated membrane coupled anaerobic bioreactor.Mathematical models of membrane flux and membrane resistance with operation time were obtained by fitting experimental data.Test results suggested that the PAN membrane flux maintained at a higher level than other two membranes,and the membrane resistance increased very slowly.Therefore,The PAN membrane was fit for the MCAB system in this test.
