Analysis of clinical characteristic of the aged patients with ascites

【Objective】To analyze the clinical characteristic of the aged patients with ascites.【Methods】To collect and analyze clinical datas of the 122 aged inpatients with ascites during 2005～2008.【Results】During the 122 inpatients,the male 73,the female 49,the age from 60 to 85 [average(66.3±5)],with generous ascites 54,with middle amounts of ascites 46,with small amounts of ascites 22,the ascites with tumor 46,the ascites with cirrhosis 48,the ascites with tubercle 18,the ascites with other diseases 10.【Conclusion】The amounts of ascites in the aged patients is great,the cause of ascites is mainly tumor and cirrhosis,and the therapeutic efficacy is bad.
