Thermoplastic water-based fluoropolymer coatings were prepared from fluoropolymer emulsions with different structures as base materials by adding fillers and additives. The effects of fluoropolymer structure, fluorine content, and pigment/binder ratio of coating on coating performance were investigated. The results show that, with the fluoropolymer synthesized by seed emulsion polymerization at a fluorine mass fraction of 20.50% and the pigment/binder ratio of 0.7,the obtained fluoropolymer coating showed adhension level 2,pencil hardness 3H,positive impact resistance 50 cm,negative impact resistance 45 cm,and crook 2T;no form or falling off was observed after immersing the polymer in 5% HCl for 264 h,in 5% NaOH for 108 h,suggesting good acid or base-resistance.
