Occurrence and Control Strategies of Bemisia tabaci in Datonghu District

In recent years Bemisia tabaci aggravated year by year had made a huge loss in agriculture. It was considered that four reasons caused the severe infestation of Bemisia tabaci. Firstly,numerous crops formed the food chain for the pest;secondly,the protected cultivation provided good niche to live through winter for the pest;thirdly,cool midsummer and hot late autumn was beneficial for the pest;finally,the incorrect control measures were taken. To effectively control the pest,primary investigation work must be strengthened to understand the occurrence rule of the pest,and the combined measures of agricultural control,biological control,physical control,and chemical control must be taken.
