Objective To study the components and berberine of Coptis chinensis in extraction fluid by 75% ethanol, and research in vitro antimicrobial activity of Coptis chinensis and berberine hydrogchloride against H.pylori.Methods RP-HPLC column was used to study the components and berberine of Coptis chinensis in extraction fluid by 75% ethanol. The Kirby-Bauer was used to determine the sizes of inhibitory zones, and the multiple proportion dilution to determine the minimum inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of Coptis chinensis and berberine hydrogchloride. Results and Conclusion Coptis chinensis and berberine hydrogchloride have some in vitro antimicrobial activity against H.pylori.Coptis chinensis is better than berberine gydrogchloride in inhibiting H.pylori.
