The study of CD147 with the invasion and metastasis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma

Objective To investigate the expression of extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer(EMMPRIN/CD147)in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma,and the relationship with the invasion and metastasis of neoplasms.Methods The expression of CD147 was analyzed semi-quantitatively by immunohistochemical staining in 36 cases of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma,para-carcinoma normal tissue,and lymph node,15 cases of laryngeal papilloma,and 15 cases of laryngeal polyp.Results The positive rate of expression was 47.2% in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma,which was higher than in laryngeal polyp(13.3%)or in para-carcinoma normal tissue(5.6%),and was related with T stage,clinical stage and whether there was lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion The positive expression of CD147 has relationship to the invasion and metastasis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma.
