摘要
Abstract The Brewster effect plays a significant role in the transmission of electromagnetic waves with a transverse magnetic mode or p‐polarization at a specific angle. Here, a transverse electric mode ultrawide‐angle ultralow‐reflection phenomenon is proposed to realize perfect transparency at ultrawide incidence angles. Theoretical formulae are derived to provide the basis for the ultrawide‐angle ultralow‐reflection phenomenon and to explain the significant characteristics of achieving an ultrawide‐angle transmission response. As a proof of concept, a metasurface with an ultrawide‐angle ultralow‐reflection response is designed and measured, whose relative permittivity and permeability tensors are tuned by engineering an electric resonator and a magnetic resonator, respectively. This study unveils a new path for the design of ultrawide‐angle transparent surfaces.
