摘要
Micron-sized silicon anode is considered as one of important anodes owing to its high theoretical capacity. However, its severe volume expansion limits its stability. To address this challenge, Guo's team recently proposed a solvent-induced selective dissolution strategy to regulate solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) components. γ-Butyrolactone (GBL) could dissolve low-modulus components in SEI during cycling, and facilitate the formation of robust SEI rich in high-modulus LiF and poly carbonates. Their work established the correlation between high donor number electrolytes and SEI mechanical strength.
