Analysis on the International Competitiveness of Chinese Footwear Industry

Footwear industry is a typical labor-intensive industry. China has become the world's largest producer and exporter of shoes. As the international economic situation and the international footwear industry structure change in recent years, the international competitiveness advantage of Chinese footwear products becomes weak. This paper firstly constructs the evaluation index system to make a quantitative analysis on the international competitiveness of Chinese footwear industry, on which basis an analysis of the constraining factors thus are carried out. Finally, the paper proposes measures to enhance the competitiveness of Chinese footwear industry.
