Analysis of Overhigh Main-steam Temperature of a Pulverized Coal Fired Boiler and Reconstruction

As the coal in use deviated from the designed coal,the main-steam temperature of No.8 pulverized coal fired boiler of Donta Group Thermal Power Plant in Guangdong,China was overhigh in the operation,which led to the longstanding failure of the boiler to carry full load.Upon causal investigation into the problem,corresponding modification was carried out,and all the parameters of the boiler steam and water systems were up to standard thereafter.The trouble-free continuous full-load operation of the modified equipment for the following seven months showed the success of the modification.
