摘要
The reactions of 2,6-dichloropyridine and potassium hydroxide,which resulted in the formation of the corresponding product 2-hydroxy-6-chloropyridine with different solvents and catalysts were investigated.The effects of solvents and catalysts on the outcome of the reaction were studied.Butyl ether is introduced as a solvent,tetrabutyl ammonium bromide an excellent catalytic system for the synthesis of 2-hydroxy-6-chloropyridine,and this method gave 2-hydroxy-6-chloropyridine in 86.4% yield.This compound was comfirmed by IR and elemental analysis.
