In the paper, CdS nanoparticles are prepared in aqueous solution with water-soluble polymer PVP(polyvinylpyrrolidone) as stabilizer. It is found that through adjusting the pH values of aqueous solution or stabilizer concentrations,the morphology of CdS nanoparticles would be transformed from spherical to clubbed shape. Herein, the effect of Cd/S ratio values on structure of CdS nanoparticles is discussed. AFM is utilized to study the morphology shape. The structure is characterized by means of TEM, FT-IR and XRD techniques for further research.
