Influencing factors and technology condition for dyestuff removal by using potassium permanganate

This paper reports the study on factors influencing removal rate by using potassium permanganate to remove dyestuff, including reaction time, pH, and quantity of potassium permanganate used. Optimum technology conditions, with removal rate more than 90%, for four kinds of dyestuffs(direct pink 12B, direct acid-resisting scarlet 4BS, sun green blue GL and active cui blue K-GL)are determined, respectively.
