With across anatomical method,the skull bone of Pere David's deer is compared with those of red deer,horse and cattle.The results are as follows:skull of Pere David's deer is long and narrow,and also the snout.The nasal bone is long and flat.The vomer is backwardness.The angle of mandible is obtuse.The lacrimal bone has a pair of lacrimal foramens which lie on the cranral part of orbital margin and separated by the lacrimal process.Pere David's deer has two lacrimal saccus fossa on the ventral part of the orbital margin.The zygomatic bone formed a deep notch of the orbital margin.
