OBJECTIVE To evaluate the healing rate of lansoprazole,famotidine and ranitidine in the therapy of gastric ulcer at the treatment of 4 weeks and 8 weeks,and compare the therapeutic efficacy using meta-analysis method. METHODS By using computer to search CNKI,VIP,CBM,PubMed,EMBase,the Cochrane library database,and through literatures and internet queries to search the articles published domestic or abroad about lansoprazole,famotidine and ranitidine in treatment of gastric ulcer.According to criterion 18 literatures were selected of which thirteen was in English,five was in Chinese.The forest plot with meta-analysis was drawn by RevMan 5.0 statistical software from the literature data. RESULTS Lansoprazole 30 mg was superior to famotidine 300 mg,ranitidine 40 mg in 4 weeks and 8 weeks healing rate of gastric ulcer.There were no significant differences in the incidence of adverse reactions. CONCLUSION Lansoprazole 30 mg is superior to famotidine 300 mg and ranitidine 40mg in 4 weeks and 8 weeks healing rate of gastric ulcer.It has high rate in ulcer healing over famotidine and ranitidine.So lansoprazole is the better choice for the treatment of gastric ulcer.
