A newly home-built Ti:sapphire laser resonator was used to record portions of the FT-ICLAS overtone absorption spectrum of l2C2HD between 12800 and 14200cm−1. The experimental set-up is presented and the recording procedure is detailed. The spectral data are illustrated with the help of five selected bands, four of them previously not reported and none previously rotationally analysed in the literature. These bands, with [vtilde]0 = 13360.003(3), 13246.266(9), 13234.135(7), 12938.982(5) and 13215.45cm−1, are assigned to 3ν1 +2ν2, 2ν1 +2ν2 + ν4+ 4ν5, 4ν1 + ν4, 3ν2 + 3ν3 and, tentatively, 4ν1 + 2ν4 − ν4, respectively. The results of the rotational analysis of the first four mentioned bands is presented.
